WebSphere Transformation Extender with Launcher packages the transformation engine with a, standalone event server runtime environment. WebSphere Transformation Extender Launcher includes Command Server capabilities. The launcher activates transformations based on triggers. Triggers can be a file creation, a message arriving on an IBM WebSphere MQ Queue, a data base management system (DBSM) trigger, a timer, and many other options. A key differentiator is the ability to enable combinations of triggers and with up to 100 inputs and outputs supported, support many complex event processing scenarios. The launcher is able to process transformation flows, complimented with a graphical flow editor in the WebSphere Transformation Design Studio. WebSphere Transformation Extender with Launcher for z/OS runs under the Unix System Shell of z/OS.
